We are looking for a Tutor/Assessor to join our team to assist with delivery of apprenticeship programmes in Business Administration, Customer Service and Management to learners across Essex and London area.
Responsibilities of this position are not limited to but are as follows:
- To manage a caseload of learners and keep track of progress
- To provide teaching against the occupational standards
- To help learners build a portfolio of evidence
- To prepare learners for assessment
- To prepare and run in-house sessions/workshops for small groups
- To provide teaching via webinars, remotely and face-to-face
- To work with a range of learners aged from 16 to 50+
- To provide one-to-one support and mentoring to encourage completion
- To work with employers to provide an all-round training programme
- To carry out full progress reviews together with employer and learner
- To work towards continuous quality improvement in line with Ofsted expectations
- To provide teaching and support on functional maths and English to prepare learners for exams
- To keep own CPD up to date
The applicant must also:
- Have a driving licence and own car
- Ensure good working relationships with candidates and employers
- Complete paperwork to required standards
- Have a passion for teaching/training, although teaching and assessment qualifications are not essential, preference will be given to those with experience
- The applicant must have a good standard of Maths, English and ICT.
- This position could be either full-time or part-time for the right applicant
Salary:
- Dependent on experience, basic salary starts at £22-23,000 (FTE) plus bonuses. OTE are around £25-£26,000 with additional payments for IQA responsibilities after probationary period
- Hours of work are Monday – Friday, with core hours between 8.45am – 5pm and some flexibility
- Mileage expense paid 0.31p per mile + parking costs covered (not tickets)
