Trade counter customer assistant apprentice


Location: Westcliff-on-Sea

A fantastic opportunity to join a local business with years of experience within the double glazing industry. This role will be based between the warehouse and trade counter where you will be assisting customers and managing stock for customer orders.

Your duties will involve, but are not limited to:

  • To pick, pack and dispatch customers orders as laid down in company procedures
  • To receive, open & check deliveries from suppliers
  • To serve customers on the trade counter, to deal with enquiries from customers that we receive via email, fax and over telephone calls
  • To stock take and organise any stock as instructed.

You will be responsible for reporting to the manager and you will be regularly liaising with staff and members of the public.

Additional information:

  • The hours will be done on a shift basis with the occasional rota’d Saturday.

Desired skills:

  • Good level of verbal and written communication
  • ICT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft programme

  • Good standard of English, ideally C grade or above at GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • A good general level of education

Important Information

Working week:

Monday to Friday Hours will vary between 8am - 6pm (with 1 hour lunch) Saturday's will also be organised on a rotational basis. 8am - 1pm
