Customer Service Apprenticeship


Location: Grays

A great opportunity to join a small, friendly team working in the carpet and blind business providing customer service and administrative support.

This small business flooring and blind business based in Grays is looking for a young person to join their team to help with all aspects of customer care within the business. The role is mainly shop-based.

Job duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Dealing with customers face to face and by phone
  • Answering customer enquiries by email
  • Calling and liaising with customers regarding job progress
  • Processing customer orders
  • Learning about products the company offers
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements by promoting products
  • Using company database to process and complete orders
  • Providing administrative support
  • Liaising with fitters to arrange customer delivery/fitting
  • Processing orders with suppliers and providing feedback

Additional information:

  • The successful candidate will be mainly shop based dealing with customer enquiries
  • If the candidate shows an aptitude for the fitting side of the business, there may be an opportunity to move into this at the end of the apprenticeship

Important Information

Working week:

Monday - Wednesday and Friday. Flexible working hours 9.30am - 5pm (with 30 minute lunch) Every other Saturday to be worked. 10am - 2pm.
