Customer care apprentice

A fantastic opportunity to join a local business with years of experience within the double glazing industry. This is an office based role where you will be responsible for dealing with customer queries and uploading information onto the company website.

Your duties will involve, but are not limited to:

  • To answer phone calls, emails and help customers with enquiries, orders, returns and problems
  • To chase up quotes, proformas and other orders
  • To monitor and up-date website content with product information images and to create new pages for new products and services
  • To tick the previous days orders from the manifest to the posted report, do the invoice run and check that the correct nominal accounts have been posted with the correct payment method. Scan and catalogue all paperwork
  • To search for products on behalf of customers and update the system/website with information

You will be responsible for reporting to the manager and you will be regularly liaising with staff, customers and suppliers.

Additional information:

  • The hours will be done on a shift basis with the occasional rota’d Saturday.

Desired skills:

  • Good level of verbal and written communication
  • ICT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft programmes

Qualifications:

  • Good standard of English, ideally C grade or above at GCSE level (or equivalent)
  • A good general level of education

Important Information

Working week:

Monday to Friday Hours will vary between 8am - 6pm (with 1 hour lunch) Saturday's will also be organised on a rotational basis. 8am - 1pm
