Business Administrator Apprentice


Location: Rayleigh

An exciting opportunity has arisen within this well-established solicitors firm as an administrator. You will be required to assist the entire legal team with their daily duties, and you will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of legal sectors. This is a diverse and varied role with plenty of opportunity to progress.

This is an extremely diverse role with the opportunity to learn a lot about legal work. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting paralegals with work overflow
  • Familiarising yourself with company policies and documentation – contracts, court orders, wills – ensuring they have been dealt with in the correct way
  • Filing and scanning important documentation and allocate to the correct person
  • Comply with different legislation
  • Assign case references to documentation and appropriately file
  • Bundle documentation and closing company files
  • Managing company calendar and assisting with holiday approval and registers
  • Covering reception – meeting and greeting clients, answering incoming telephone calls, informing solicitors of client arrivals, making drinks for clients etc.
  • Completing stationery orders
  • Organising post and scanning in incoming documentation
  • Be responsible for client payments and company banking – there are strict policies around payments

Ongoing training will be provided

Additional information:

  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays. The firm voluntary closes for 2 days between Christmas & New Year
  • Parking may be subsidised if the applicant needs to use their car
  • There may be flexibility with the wage for the right candidate

  • A grade 4 or above in maths and English at GCSE level, or equivalent
  • An IT qualification would be preferable but not essential

Important Information

Working week:

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm
37.5 hours per week


£187.50 per week
