Apprentice Administrative Assistant (BAACMS)


Location: Canvey Island

This company is currently looking to recruit an Assistant for the Administration Department due to continuing growth of the company. You will be working closely with the team to assist with the day to day operations of the business.

The responsibilities will be to assist the current administration team.

The primary role will be to assist with all necessary administration duties. Which will include, but not limited to:

  • General administration duties and general all round office administration duties.
  • Answering phone and diverting calls to various team members.
  • Photocopying, scanning, and saving data electronically onto the company files held on IT server.
  • Data entry onto various bespoke database software.
  • Data entry onto various Office 365 software, such as word, excel, etc.
  • Producing line drawings using AutoCAD software
  • Creating high quality documents from various databases and IT software.
  • Assisting Contract administrators, Contract Managers, Directors.
  • Running and managing various contracts that the company delivers to its clients, from booking appointments through to invoicing.
  • Assisting sales team.
  • Producing documentation for contracts and site teams
  • Minute meetings in the office

Additional information:

  • Salary will increase after the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period
  • If weekend work is required, you would be paid 1.5 times their normal salary
  • The role is based on a busy industrial estate on Canvey Island

Desired skills:

  • Effective communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Proficient with all MS Office packages

Personal qualities:

  • Able to manage multiple projects, deadlines and objectives
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to problem solve
  • Good initiative
  • Flexibility to meet deadlines


  • Grade 4/C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • IT qualifications may be beneficial, but not essential

Important Information

Working week:

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (with 1 hour paid lunch)
40 hours per week


£172 per week
